Description
I think the alphabetical index for the html documentation is not as useful as it should.
A more "immediate" index should be designed.

alphabetical page should have a leaner structure (e.g. a plain list, maybe in 5 columns)

The two new index pages (by alpha and by topic) are no longer "tables" but simply "multicolumn" list.
CSS for multicolumns works for Firefox and Mozilla (but they have dedicated syntax, see cocoalib-doc.css), but it seems that now other browsers don't yet support this new CSS feature... sooner or later they have to.
Meanwhile the pages look quite reasonable anyway (a list!).
