A colleague here in Passau was disappointed that intersection(ideal(1), J) was taking a long time, even though the answer is obviously just J.
Should we put in some "short-cuts" into ideal ops which handle special cases where one arg is ideal(0) or ideal(1)?
Discuss. Identify which fns might benefit from this.
