Emacs UI: C-c C-\ copies line cursor is on

Description
The emacs key sequence C-c C-\
quits a running CoCoA-5 (same as Signals->QUIT).
I noticed that if the cursor is not at the end of the *cocoa5*
buffer then it jumps there and copies the line the cursor was on. While not apparently harmful, it is unnecessary to copy the line (and I found it unexpected/worrying/confusing).
