Description

The ApCoCoA UI must offer a means of opening manual pages in a separate window.

The content of this window must be copiable, so it can be pasted into the interactive window, or into any other CoCoA source window.

Here are some design details which must be sorted out before much can be implemented:
  • which XML tags are used in the sources of the manual pages (Florian knows this)
  • what programs are available for transforming the manual page sources into a "readable/displayable" form?
  • what relationship is there between the standard CoCoA-5 online manual and the ApCoCoA manual
  • is there just a single window for manual entries? Does the window contain just a single entry? Or can several entries be shown (perhaps underneath tabs?)
  • should all text from a manual page be copiable, or just examples which are effectively CoCoA-5 code?
