Redmine Feature #1044 (Closed): New function: SectionalMatrix, PrintSectionalMatrixhttps://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/10442017-04-10T15:55:55ZAnna Maria BigattiFeature #1043 (Closed): New function: IsCoprimehttps://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/10432017-04-10T12:43:53ZAnna Maria Bigatti

Add
IsCoprime
for power-products (as in CoCoALib)
Feature #1038 (Closed): Emacs: sent interrupt to CoCoAhttps://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/10382017-04-04T15:53:36ZAnna Maria Bigatti

It would be handy to have a menu item or a key-binding to send interrupt to the cocoa5 buffer from a cocoa file.
Feature #1017 (Rejected): New function: SetGBasisAsGens [--> NO: use IdealOfGBasis]https://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/10172017-03-02T12:28:54ZAnna Maria Bigatti

Write a new function to modify an ideal so that removes the current set of generators and substitutes it with the GBasis.
[in some cases the GBasis is preattier than the original set of generator]

Similarly
SetMinGensAsGens
.

Similar in philosophy to IdealOfGBasis #996. Which one? Both?
Bug #1002 (Closed): Emacs UI: cocoa5-send-line skips too many charshttps://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/10022017-01-24T18:19:43ZJohn Abbott

While trying to understand how
cocoa5-send-line
works, I discovered that it can skip too far forwards sometimes.

This is probably not serious since no one has reported any such problems, but it should be rectified.
Design #998 (Closed): Emacs UI: sending empty input from cocoa5 bufferhttps://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/9982017-01-18T16:22:40ZJohn Abbott

What should the correct behaviour be when sending "empty input" to CoCoA-5 from a
cocoa5-mode
buffer in Emacs.

Currently
cocoa5
receives an "empty line" (perhaps of length zero, or containing just white space).
And responds by printing out an empty line (and then another line with a new prompt).

In particular this happens when doing
C-c C-l
(or
C-RET
) when at the end of the
cocoa5-mode
buffer.
Feature #996 (Closed): New function: IdealOfGBasishttps://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/9962017-01-12T16:11:07ZAnna Maria Bigatti

Consider this case

I := ideal(.....);
G := GBasis(I);
J := ideal(G);

now, G is the GBasis of J, but J does not know it. So
GBasis(J)
has to recompute it.

I propose to add in (CoCoALib and) CoCoA-5 the function
IdealOfGBasis(I)
which does as above and sets the GBasis of the returned value.
Feature #965 (Closed): New function: multigraded BettiNumbershttps://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/9652016-11-09T16:37:23ZAnna Maria Bigatti

Add functions to print resolutions with multigradings and their Betti numbers
(BettiMatrix and BettiDiagram cannot be applied)

[Requested by Marilina Rossi]
Feature #959 (Closed): New function: SymmetricPolyshttps://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/9592016-10-27T15:12:41ZAnna Maria Bigatti

[request by L.Robbiano]

SymmPoly = lista dei SymmPoly[D]
SymmPoly[D] = somma dei monomi squarefree di grado D

Esempio
K[x,y,z]
SymmPoly = [x +y +z, x*y +x*z +y*z, x*y*z]
Feature #954 (Closed): New function: StdBasis (standard basis)https://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/9542016-10-27T06:54:26ZAnna Maria Bigatti

This is essentially the same as TgCone, but without selecting the Initial forms and returning a LIST (a bit like Gbasis(I) and LT )

[Requested by G.Valla]
Feature #927 (Closed): Add "exit" in addition to "ciao"https://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/9272016-09-21T15:52:13ZAnna Maria BigattiFeature #903 (Closed): New function CallOnGroebnerFanIdeals: call function on GFan idealshttps://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/9032016-07-04T09:43:34ZAnna Maria Bigatti

The function
GFanIdeals
(was
AllReducedGroebnerBases
) has a very big output.
Usually one needs to run a function along the GFan (i.e. len of GBasis, max degree in GBasis..) which would take far less memory.

Write a similar function which calls a given function on all GBases.
How to call this new function? What should it do exactly: return? print?
Feature #845 (Closed): Primary Decomposition in CoCoA-5.1.6: zero dimensional, finite characteristichttps://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/8452016-02-17T09:56:02ZAnna Maria Bigatti

Updates from CoCoA-5.1.3
Migration to CoCoALib
Bug #748 (Closed): Emacs UI: return inside a block of output sends several lines (not just the on...https://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/7482015-07-27T12:27:15ZJohn Abbott

I have recently upgraded to Emacs 24.5.1. The problem is exhibited by doing
?package
inside a CoCoA-5 buffer. This produces a list of matches; now I move the cursor to the match I want, and press "enter". This now sends all output from the line the cursor was on, to the following prompt (including the line containing the prompt!) as the new input. Previously it sent just the line the cursor was on.
Feature #734 (Closed): Primary Decomposition in CoCoA-5: zero dimensional, zero characteristichttps://cocoa.dima.unige.it/redmine/issues/7342015-06-11T06:27:06ZAnna Maria Bigatti
