Please register for the conference no later than February 28, 2002 [see second announcement]. (registration form). There is a chance that some financial support [see second announcement] will become available for participants. If you need such support, please indicate it on the registration form.
Because the talks will begin early on the morning of Thursday, June 6 and the social dinner will be in the evening of Saturday, June 8, you should plan to arrive on Wednesday, June 5 and leave on Sunday, June 9.
There will be some contributed talks as well (probably 20-minutes) [see second announcement]. If you are interested in giving a contributed talk, please indicate it on the registration form. The organizing committee will make the final decision on the selection of talks, but we would like especially to encourage young investigators.
There will be an Open Problems Session on Friday afternoon, June 7.
A conference fee of 100 Euros will be required (reduced to 75 Euros for students). The fee may be paid at the registration after your arrival. If the budget permits, the fee will cover the expenses for the social dinner.
We would like to point out two other related conferences which are
taking place immediately after ours. First, the joint AMS-UMI meeting
in Pisa on June 12-16
will have several special sessions in the areas of commutative algebra
and algebraic geometry. Immediately following this, the conference
"Current Trends in Commutative Algebra" in Levico on June
17-21 will also be of great interest.
