By Plane Alghero has an international airport, served by low cost airlines, and connected to Milan, Rome, London, Hahn-Frankfurt and Girona-Barcelona. Another possibility is Olbia airport

By Ship From Genova (Grimaldi or Tirrenia companies), overnight trip to Porto Torres, a harbour 40 km from Alghero .From Leghorn (Livorno) to Olbia, a harbour on the Northeast side of Sardinia, with Moby Line or Corsica Ferries - Sardinia Ferries. From Civitavecchia (Rome) with Tirrenia and Ferrovie dello Stato ships to Olbia. From Marseilles (France) to Porto Torres, overnight trip with Mediterranean Company if you travel from France.
